Condition of private hospitals in India

Last Monday I visited Max Hospital, Patpadganj, Delhi with my brother in law who was having back pain. We reached emergency of Max Hospital at 12 o'clock. He was not provided with a bed because no bed was available in emergency. Doctor suggested MRI scan of spine and we had to wait till 6:30 PM for MRI scan because queue was long. This is the condition of private hospitals who are charging high fee to customer and because of that have enough money to acquire more equipment for the treatment. Think of government hospitals who are having limited funds and a very high demand from public. Government hospitals can't buy more equipment because for them more demand does not mean more money.

I came to know of shocking case which happened on the same day. Some man had come from Allahabad with his ill wife and asked if this hospital have facility of liver transplant. This hospital does not have facility for liver transplant so he went out to look for an ambulance to take his ailing wife to some other hospital. By the time (after one hour) he came back his wife was shifted to day care and administered some dips without his consent. He was asked to pay 16000 rupee for so called treatment of his wife. This remind me of film Gabbar where one dead body was treated for two days in a hospital for 4 lakhs rupee bill. Max Hospital, Patpadganj charged 16000 rupee just for telling that treatment is not available in their hospital. The hospital did not have any fear of tarnishing their image in eye of patients who were seeing this thing happening before their eye. People say that Baba's and Jyotishies are looting people of India but I am sure that they are not as shameless as qualified doctors of India.
