Yesterday RBI announced waving off of RuPay Credit and Debit cards transaction charges. This step was required to remove conflict of interest with bank disbursing money because they were not disbursing cash to promote electronic transactions on which they get commission. I don't know if this decision apply to VISA, MasterCard and American Express cards also. This decision should be enforced on all banks and cards.

13th Day of demonetization of 500 and 1000 rupee notes
Today 21st November 2016 is 13th day of decommissioning of 500 rupee and 1000 rupee notes. Today I went to Kailash Hospital, Noida to see a doctor. The OPD charge was 500 rupee but they refused to take old 500 rupee note. Although hospitals are required to take old 500 rupee notes, Kailash Hospital( A private hospital) refused to take it. Luckily they were accepting payment by credit card and I paid by credit card. It is not like that Kailash Hospital is an isolated case. Refusal of private hospitals to accept old currency notes is in news also.
After visit to hospital I went to Kotak Mahindra Bank, Sector-18, Noida to withdraw 10000 rupee from my saving account. I reached the bank at 12:00 PM and I found that no one with withdrawal request was being allowed inside the bank because bank did not have any cash to dispense. None of the ATM were working. This place have more than 20 ATMs but none of them was working.
Banks are not dispensing the cash they are having with them to force people to use online transactions and debit card/credit card payments. Banks are charging commission to merchants as high as 5% for accepting credit/debit card payments. Banks are having conflict of interest with dispensing cash from bank for which they don't get any commission. Banks don't dispense cash so that they can make money by commission from electronic transaction merchants.
Today online wallet company Paytm has waved off transfer to bank account charge which was 4% till 31st December 2016. It is a welcome step but it came 13 days after demonetization. Government should make a law which prohibit banks and online wallet companies from charging commission to merchants. The merchants who are accepting credit/debit cards have increased price of the commodities because other shops who don't accept credit/debit card are not in competition. The merchants who have started accepting credit cards recently have increased price of commodities to cover for commission they need to pay to banks for transactions.
I was lucky enough to withdraw 2500 rupee from ATM from my two account because luckily I found one ATM which was being refilled and I happen to be a earlier few customers. After that I am not able to find a working ATM or a bank with cash to dispense. I am left with 200 rupee with me now.

Currency change in India
On 8th November 2016 8:00 PM prime minister of India Narender Modi announced that old 500 rupee and 1000 rupee notes will be discontinued in 4 hours. I checked my wallet and found out that I had one hundred rupee note, a fifty rupee note and five 10 rupee note. So only 200 rupee with me. The banks and ATMs were shutdown for next day 9th November 2016 so I need to survive on 200 rupee only. Although patrol pumps, Hospitals and Medical Shops were allowed to accept 500 and 1000 rupee notes till 11th November 2016.
Luckily Mar car had enough patrol for next few days not everyone have a car to commute. Many people travel by auto and taxis for them 200 rupee will not be sufficient even for a day. This step of government was necessary for curbing black money and counterfeit notes so I thought that it is right step even if it create some inconvenience to people. Banks opened on 10th October 2016 but ATMs were closed. Banks were exchanging up to rupee 4000 per person. I asked my wife to go to bank and get the money exchanged but she could not go to bank due to heavy rush in the bank. I still thought that banks and government are doing their best to serve people and at least some people are getting money. But later I came to know that banks are giving two 2000 rupee notes for 4000 rupee. A 2000 rupee note is too big a denomination to bring liquidity into market. 500 rupee notes are already out of market and for converting a 2000 rupee note to change 20 hundred rupee notes will be required. If a person buy 200 rupee products from market he will get 18 hundred rupee notes in return. Shopkeeper will not be having that much change. So 2000 rupee notes are bringing no liquidity to market.
For first few days government should issue only 100 rupee notes and new 500 rupee notes in market to restore liquidity into market but it is doing opposite of it. This is wrong and government should have planned better. It is issuing 2000 rupee notes into market. 2000 rupee notes should be issued later on when government raises withdrawal limit on bank accounts. Some people are saying that great economists have taken this decision and I don't understand economics so I should not criticize decision of great economists. But I feel that these economist who feel that 2000 rupee note with curb black money and 500 rupee note will encourage corruption are fools. Economics is not rocket science which only few people know and kept a top secret. Economics is something which everyone understand. Issuing 2000 rupee note for first few days is a bad decision and it is producing liquidity crunch in market.
Now few thing on how I am surviving with 200 rupee. I borrowed 600 rupee from my son's piggy bank. One of our neighboring shopkeeper is still accepting 500 rupee note and we are buying milk from him. This might be illegal but it is necessary for maintaining liquidity in market. I support government's decision to change the currency note but government should infuse liquidity in market by issuing 100 rupee and 500 rupee notes instead of 2000 rupee note.

Suicide by ex-army man and OROP row
Retired Army man Ram Kishan Grewal committed suicide on November 2, 2016 because he was getting less pension.
The 70-year-old ex-serviceman was involved in a protest for implementation of the promised OROP scheme. He was leading a protest and reportedly reached Delhi on Monday to meet the defence minister with an application stating that despite the implementation of the OROP, the soldiers have not received the increased pension as per the sixth and seventh pay commission along with the due arrears.
He committed suicide by ingesting “Sulfas”, a pesticide, while he and 10 others were returning to Jantar Mantar on Tuesday after failing to meet Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and defence minister Manohar Parrikar over the non-implementation of OROP. He died later that day at RML Hospital.
Grewal was working for social welfare and had won several accolades for his contribution to social service and for changing the face of his village ‘Bamla’ in Haryana. He was also awarded the ‘Nirmal Gram Puruskar’ by the then President, Pratibha Patil, in 2008.
Bamla village became the first few ‘Nirmal Grams’ in Haryana. The government of India had launched this award for fully sanitised and open defecation-free Gram Panchayats in 2003 and gave away the first awards in 2005 as a component of its flagship scheme ‘Total Sanitation Campaign’.
It is difficult to believe that such a man will commit suicide without fighting for his rights. His suicide shows that he lost all hopes for getting his dues. Government is coming up with excuses that it was calculation error on part of State Bank of India. But why did it happen? Why was error not corrected even after repeated requests from ex-serviceman? Why was bribe demanded from ex-serviceman for correcting calculation error? Why did ministers of Modi government refused to meet ex-serviceman? Why have government not taken any action against officials responsible for calculation mistake? These are some questions which needs to be answered. Why should we not hold prime minister responsible for this calculation mistake which took life of an ex-serviceman when we give credit of any street being cleaned by sweepers? We don't say that street was cleaned by sweepers and PM have nothing to do with it, we say that PM has put all procedures in place to force sweepers to do their duty instead. Now if PM has not put any check on corrupt officials of government and State Bank of India and allowed them to get bribe from ex-servicemen by doing deliberate calculation mistakes and correcting them only after getting bribe then why should he not be held responsible for it.

Terror attacks and call for boycott of films by Pakistani actors
Now a days debate is going on issue of call to boycott of Karan Johar's movie "Ye dil hai muskil" featuring a Pakistani actor. Some people are saying that cultural exchange with Pakistan should not stop because of terror attack on Army camp in Uri, Kashmir. Same people were saying that India should wage a war with Pakistan when some tax payers were killed in terror attack on Taj Hotel in Mumbai. Are soldier's life less valuable than life of a tax payer's life?
We Indian's need to learn from USA in terms of respect for life of a soldier. USA people consider soldiers life more valuable than tax paying citizens. They don't let artistic freedom come in the way of their patriotism. I was in USA when second war of USA with Iraq started. One famous singer of USA commented against the President and people all radio channels stopped playing her songs, people stopped buying her CDs and she was forced to apologize to people of USA for her comments.
We Indian people don't care for our brave brothers who are fighting for our protection. We think that since we are paying them salary it is their duty to die for us and we don't have any duty towards our soldiers. This mentality must change. Soldiers don't die for salary but for honor of mother land and for protection of us and we shameless creature can't even afford to miss a movie produced by our enemy.
It is not a coincidence that Karan Johar picked a Pakistani Actor for his movie. The Pakistani actor was chosen because Dawood Ibrahim put a precondition for financing Karan Johar's movie that he should take Pakistani Actor for his movie. People ask me how do I know that and I should file a case against Karan Johar if I think it is true. I would like to say that I know that more than 80% of policemen are corrupt and they take bribe from Auto driver, road side vendors etc. and I have still not filed even a single case against any of the policeman. Does it prove that all policemen are honest, just because I have not filed a case against them? Same way if I have not filed a case against Karan Johar it does not prove that his movie is not being financed by Dawood Ibrahim. You can see the movie script and make out who is financing the movie. If Indian people boycott the movie "Ye dil hai muskil" it will be a big blow to Dawood Ibrahim and his agents like Karan Johar. I will not watch any movie of Pakistani Actor even if it is a master piece.

India takes revenge of killing of 17 soldiers
Today India carried out surgical strikes in Pakistan occupied Kashmir to destroy terror camps in reaction to killing of 17 Indian soldiers by Pakistani terrorists. Pakistan has denied this news and is saying that there had been a case of cross border firing only. This is expected from Pakistan because they can't admit that they were running terror camps in Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
I fully trust Indian Army's press conference in which they said that they carried out surgical strikes in Pakistan occupied Kashmir. I am proud of my Army and Government today. I am even ready for a war between India and Pakistan if tension escalates further. I am ready to pay 5% extra tax to finance cost of war. A nation can survive only if citizens are ready to make sacrifice for the nation. A nation where citizens are interested only in there selfish need can't survive. Indian public should raise above there selfish need and support our soldiers. Soldier's life is a precious as life of a income tax payer's life. How can we let soldier's die and protect the tax payers? Why should we be afraid of paying extra tax if war brake out when we try to revenge killing of 17 soldiers? Why can't we pay extra tax when we expect soldiers to give there life in protecting us?

My decision not to send my children to Christian school
Today I am writing about my decision not to send my children to any Christian school. I took this decision despite fact that fee in Christian schools are lower than other private school. I did never apply to any Christian school for admission. I have two children one boy who is studying in class 4 and a girl who will start going in Nursery class from April 1st next year.
Reasons for this decision: I took this decision based on examples of discrimination against Hindu student and misinformation given about Hindu religion in these schools. I am listing few of these examples here:
Reasons for this decision: I took this decision based on examples of discrimination against Hindu student and misinformation given about Hindu religion in these schools. I am listing few of these examples here:
- Hindu gods are not capable of helping their devotees but Jesus is: I heard from one of my colleague whose niece was going to Don Bosco school Delhi that one day school bus broke down on the road and the driver of the bus asked children to pray to their God to fix the bus. Children were asked to pray to Bhagwan Ram but the bus did not start. Children were asked to pray to Wahe Guru but the bus did not start. After that they were asked to pray to Jesus to fix the bus and the bus started after that. Impressionable mind of children got an impression that Hindu gods are incapable of helping them but Jesus is capable of helping them. These kind of stories I have heard from many people and sometimes these are even published in newspapers also. I can't close my eyes and hope that these kind of things will not happen to my child if I send my child to these schools.
- Misinformation about Hindu religion: Somerville School Noida few years back staged a play on Ramayan in which Bagwan Ram, Sita and Lakshman was depicted as characterless and Ravana was as good character person. People objected to it when they came to know about it from their children and even a FIR was registered in this case and this news was published in newspapers. This school is still running under same principal and no action is taken against people who staged the play.
- Misinformation about Hindu Religion St. Xavier School: When I was in my collage one of my classmate from St. Xavier School told me that in Vedas it is written that incest is recommended for good citizen. I was shocked and amazed that Vedas are in curriculum of a christian school and not in my government school. I inquired about in which classes Vedas are being taught in St. Xavier School. He told me that this information was given to him by his English teacher and Vedas were not in their curriculum. How come nothing about Vedas were being taught in the school but this kind of misinformation which will cause hatred for Hindu religion was being taught in the school.
- Children are taught things which are not suitable for their age: One of my classmate from a christian school told me that they shown video of how abortion are carried out and how unborn baby is killed and taken out from womb of the mother. Does it help in stopping abortion to show in gory detail how abortion are carried out? If they want to campaign against abortion they can just say that killing a unborn baby is equal to killing any other human. Why this gory details were being shown to children.
- Christian schools are center of corruption: Christian school fees are lower than other schools and it is projected that these schools don't make money but education is being subsidized by donation of christian charity organization and that is why 50% seats are reserved for christian children. It is not true, One of my colleague went to Somerville School Noida and he was asked to pay 50,000 rupee to a Christian Charity to get his daughter admitted to school. This is nothing but corruption they are forcing parent to pay bribe to Christian Charity to get admission for their children. The amount paid by Hindu parents to this charity will come back to school as Christian Benevolence. These schools are running on Hindu money and working against Hindu religion. Fee in these schools are low because these schools are getting subsidized land and other aid from government. On the other hand schools run by Hindu organisation don't get any subsidy or aid.
- It is not as if there is no discrimination with poor christian: The schools which are forcing Hindu parents to donate money to Christian Charity are also forcing christian parents to donate money to Christian Charity. One of the christian student who was denied admission in St. Stephen College under quota for christian filed a case in court because he was denied admission on the bases that he was not member of a particular Christian society which charges annual subscription fee. Any poor christian who can't afford to be member of these societies don't get admission. St. Stephen Collage gets crores in grant from collage and still discriminates against majority who pay taxes for the grant received by this collage.

Surge pricing of app based cab companies
Today's post is regarding surge pricing of app based cab companies UBER and OLA. The app based companies increase their prices a demand increases. Today I was discussing with some of my friends that cab drivers at Airport and Railway station charge 600 rupee for a ride which should have been 350 rupee this is nothing but blackmailing. When I asked them about surge pricing of app based cab companies they said that it is demand and supply economics and customer had option of going to another alternative if he/she does not agree with surge pricing. I don't see any difference between surge pricing and taxi drivers asking for extra money at Airport and Railway Stations. It is also surge because of demand and supply economics. Why should it be called blackmailing if some small group of taxi drivers do it and demand and supply economics if a 1000 crore company do it?
I do know of a case when a passenger paid 5000 rupee for a ride to Airport in UBER cab at the time of even and odd scheme in Delhi, the surge was 20 times at that time. I heard about this on FM radio channel, I don't know why other people don't remember it. Had it been a normal taxi driver everyone would have been talking about ending this blackmailing of taxi divers but since it was a 1000 crore company it is being called free market economics. Why?
As far as I am concerned I think that there should be a control on free market so that service provider don't exploit consumer by overcharging. So there should be a maximum price for any product offered to consumer. Free market is about getting more consumer by offering cheaper products and making profit by providing service to more consumers and not by blackmailing customer and selling product at exorbitantly high price and making more profit by that.

A nun who wanted to quit a Kerala church, now faces criminal cases, branded mentally unstable
Why is media silent about malpractices which are continuing in Churches? I do see them highlighting any small thing about Hinduism and about churches they are always silent even on big issues. I see same problem with my Hindu friends, they are always critical about Hindu religion and India but if someone says anything bad about Christianity or USA they start fighting with him. Why do we see only bad things about over selves and only good things about others?

"I forgave them and tolerated everything till now. I cannot take it any further,” Sr Mary Sebastian says.

The Church preaches charity, kindness, and compassion towards everyone but Sr. Mary Sebastian, a 45-year-old nun, is afraid that the very institution that she has served for 25 years might harm her.
Sr. Mary wants to leave the Church and it is a well-known fact that the Church does not take too kindly to rebels.
In January this year, Sr. Mary took the decision to quit the Church because of the harassment that she allegedly faced in the hands of her superiors at the Syro-Malabar Church’s Cherthungal Nasrathubhavan Convent under Congregation of the Mother of Carmel (CMC) in Pala, Kottayam district of Kerala. She has been living there for the past three years.
Sr. Mary approached the Church to grant her 3 years of exclaustration that allows a nun to stay outside the convent as a common citizen and return to the convent after the designated period.
However, she was denied permission as the Church feared that granting her this would encourage other nuns to follow suit.
When the Church deliberately delayed the proceedings, Sr. Mary approached the Kerala Catholic Church Reformation Movement, an organization that works for rehabilitation of ex-priests and ex-nuns. Matters went haywire after the organization intervened.
In May, she was given dispensation and was asked to quit the Church. Having decided that it is best to do so, Sr. Mary demanded that she be paid her due in order for her to lead a life outside the church. The authorities objected.
Renji Njellani, organizing secretary of KCRM, points out that any priest or nun who wishes to quit the Church is entitled to be given money according to the canon law. The Church refused to pay the sum of Rs.30 lakh that Sr. Mary demanded and offered to pay Rs.1 lakh, after months of negotiation.
Two weeks ago, Sr. Mary filed a complaint with the Human Rights Commission and Women’s Commission alleging that she was facing physical and mental harassment at the hands of her superiors. But after she approached Women’s Commission, the Church, she alleges, has found new ways of taunting her.
They even filed a police complaint recently, accusing her of theft. She says that police officials threatened her to quit the Church as per their order.
Last week, a complaint was filed with Child Welfare Committee accusing her of harassing the children at Balabhavan, a children’s home associated with the convent. Sr. Mary claims that the authorities of the committee forcefully made her sign a document pledging that she will stay away from the children.
Renji points out that the Church in fact uses the committee to its own advantage, with priests appointed in key positions.
“I am scared for my life…They are so powerful that they may even harm me!” - these were her first words as Sr. Mary spoke to The News Minute over phone.
Sr. Mary claims that false allegations have been levelled against her ever since she joined the Church.
In 1997 when she was a student of Master of Social Work, her superiors at the convent had accused her of being in a relationship with a priest.
“Nobody asked for any explanation from my side…I wasn’t given a chance to prove the allegations wrong, or at the least defend myself. They accused me of wrongdoing and I was forcefully sent for retreat camps where I wasn’t allowed to speak to anybody. I used to spend the days cut off from the outside world,” she says.
But things became worse when in the early 2000s, Sr. Mary objected to a misappropriation at Shanthinilayam, a special school in Pala run by the Church.
“When I found that they were forging documents to include nuns in the teachers’ list to claim university grants, I objected. I discussed the issue with other nuns and the superiors came to know about it. Since then, they have constantly been trying to tag me as a mentally challenged person,” she says.
She also alleges that she was repeatedly transferred from one convent to the other, at the behest of the Church, often in the middle of an academic year.
Sr. Mary, who works as a teacher at a school run by the Church, says that she was brutally assaulted by her superiors at the various convents she has lived over the years.
“They would hit me, accusing me of various things, including robbery. They hid letters addressed to me. I forgave them and tolerated everything till now. I cannot take it any further,” she says.
The Church involved her family in all these matters too and would demand that they visit to sort things out.
Sr. Mary’s decision to leave the Church citing harassment is not a unique instance. Only a few years ago, Sister Jesme, who had been a nun for over 33 years, quit the Church alleging harassment by her superiors. Her leaving and the subsequent release of her autobiography "Amen: The autobiography of a nun" had created a huge controversy at that time. Sr. Abhaya’s murder, in which priests are the prime accused, is yet another example of how things are not exactly holy in the Church.
Once she leaves the convent, Sr. Mary cannot go back home.
"Do you know what it means to be a nun who quit the Order? Our society hasn't grown enough to accept such things. People will see it as my betrayal towards Jesus. But only if they knew that my fight is against the Church and not Jesus...."
She says that her family does not want her to return home. "In fact they don't want me to quit the Church. It is all because of the stigma that is associated with it. Society will only target my family for my actions."
Dismissing the allegations of harassment at the hands of superiors, spokesman for Syro-Malabar order of the Catholic Church, Dr Paul Thelakkat states that the Church does not stop anybody from quitting.
Saying that he is unaware of the case in detail, Dr. Thelakkat claims that the canon law does not prescribe the Church to pay compensation to those who quit.
“As far as I understand, there is only one problem here. If the nun wants to quit, it is up to her to decide. But she cannot hold the Church responsible to provide rehabilitation. When a nun joins the Church, she voluntarily does so, agreeing that she will not hold any property under her name. Then how can she now stake claim in the Church’s joint property?” he asks.
Instances where the Church does provide monetary help to those who quit are purely out of ‘humanitarian concerns’, he maintains, adding that the nunnery is a service and not a means to earn money.

App based cab service and peek pricing
Last Saturday I used app based cab service OLA for coming back from New Delhi Railway Station to my home at Indirapuram, Ghazibad.
Let me talk about various charges of cab:
Base fare: This is added to fare irrespective of number of kilometers run. This is to cover for expanses incurred by driver to reach at pickup location. I don't have any problem with this fare because it helps in keeping per kilometer charges low. If we don't allow this charge then it will be factored in per kilometer charges which will be bad for long distance travelers.
Per Kilometer charges: This is the charge for basic service.
Per minute charge: This is charged per minute for the travel duration. This charge is to cover for extra fuel consumed by cab because of traffic jams and slow moving traffic and driver's pay for time wasted in traffic jams. I don't have any problem with this charge also.
I was charged 50% extra fare for peek charges. This peek charges increases with demand. The mobile app of OLA disclosed the revised rate card before I booked the cab so no problem there. But the problem is with fact that price are increasing with demand. So cab companies are making extra profit by exploiting passenger in need and not by increasing supply to meet the demand. Cab companies will not be interested in increasing supply if they can charge passenger extra by decreasing the supply. There have to be a cap at maximum fare which can be charged by cabs. I don't have any problem with off hours discount being offered by cab companies. But maximum fare need to be regulated to force cab companies to increase supply to make more profit instead of exploiting passengers.

Assam Class 10 topper is a Muslim boy from RSS-backed school
Today a news came out that a Muslim boy of a RSS run school has topped class 10 exam of Assam. It clearly shows that RSS is working for welfare of society irrespective of religion of the people being benefited. Had there been any discrimination in the school this Muslim student would have dropped out or would have not been able to perform well. I hope this will open eyes of people criticizing RSS day in and day out. I am proud that I am contributing financially to RSS.

A Muslim boy has given the RSS in Assam a reason to rejoice again, a week after a BJP-led government came to power in the state for the first time.
Sarfaraz Hussain topped the state board’s Class 10 exam with 590 marks out of a maximum 600. The results were declared on Tuesday.
Others before him have had similar scores. But 16-year-old Sarfaraz is the first Muslim to pass from a school run by an affiliate of Vidya Bharati, the RSS’s education wing.
He is not the only Muslim student of Sankardev Sishu Niketan, one of the many schools run by the Vidya Bharati-affiliated Sishu Shiksha Samiti, Assam.
The school at Betkuchi on the outskirts of Guwahati has 24 Muslim students, most of whom – like Sarfaraz – have won prizes for reciting the Bhagwad Gita.
“They have never complained about what we teach because our emphasis is on academic excellence apart from giving the students a grip on Indian culture and values,” Akshaya Kalita, the school’s headmaster, told HT.
“We did not make them feel different, and as a rule, they have lunch with all the other students and teachers after a bhojan mantra (prayer before meal),” he said.
Ajmal Hussain, Sarfaraz’s father, said he let his son study in the school because it provided free education. “It would have otherwise been difficult to sustain his studies with my meagre income as a waiter in a small restaurant,” he said.
He credited his son’s success to his hard work, the support from his schoolteachers, and also to the Hindu goddess of learning, Saraswati. Sarfaraz was the secretary of the school’s Saraswati Puja celebrations.
“The school shaped my life, and I hope to achieve greater academic glory as my teachers expect,” Sarfaraz said, wishing he could repay his alma mater some day.
For now, the Sarbananda Sonowal government is taking care of the payback. Education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma promised a road to the school that existed only on paper since it was established in 1998.
“We will also give the school Rs 10 lakh for upgrade and give Rs 5 lakh to Sarfaraz in a fixed deposit for his higher studies,” Sarma said.
State secondary board officials said of the 381,585 students that appeared for this year’s Class 10 exam, 239,614 passed to clock a 62.79% success rate. Sarfaraz was one of 44 candidates of Vidya Bharati-affiliated schools in the Top 20.

Krishi Kalyan Cess of 0.5% gets applicable today
From today Krishi Kalyan Cess of 0.5% is getting applicable on Service tax today. This cess is to finance farmer welfare schemes of central government. I think it a good step from government that they are thinking about welfare of farmers of India who provide food to whole nation. I feel happy that I am paying for welfare of the farmers.
The people who are cribbing about Krishi Kalyan Cess are selfish people who don't want to pay back to society from which they are getting everything. Government should ignore opposition from these people.

Wrong depiction of Ramayan by serial Siya Ke Ram
Yesterday I was watching TV and saw an advertisement of serial "Siya ke Ram". In that advertisement is was shown that Lakshman cut nose of Supnakaha because he had no respect for women and Sita was angry with Lakshman for doing that because she considered it to be an insult to womankind.
Now a day characterless women have become face of feminism. Obscenity and characterlessness are considered essential quality of being a feminist. It is being projected that women can achieve high place only by drinking and being characterless. That is why Supnakha was depicted as victim of male chauvinistic attitude of Lakshman. Supnakaha was a characterless women and that satisfies requirement of being an icon of feminist.
The truth is that Supnakha did not propose for marriage to Ram or Lakshman but for immoral sax which both of them refused. After that Supnakha tried to kill Sita and Lakshman put a sword between Sita and Supnakha to protect Sita from Supnakha and by accident Supnakha's nose was cut. It was not intentional but neither Lakhman nor Ram apologized to Supnakha for cutting her nose because that punishment which she got was appropriate for the crime she did. I also, after 7000 years of it happening, agree with Ram and Lakshman.
It is also being depicted that Ravana abducted Sita for taking revenge for Supnakaha. It is also not true. Ravana had no love for Supnakha. Had he be having any love for Supnakha he would have tried to killed Ram, Lakhman and Sita. But he abducted Sita because of his lust for beautiful women. I don't know of any person in History of 10,000 years who abducted someone's wife for taking revenge from him. I know of people who killed someone’s wife for taking revenge from him. But abducting someone's wife for making her his wife can't be done for revenge but for lust.
This wrong depiction of Ramayan has been happening for last 800 years. More than 300 distorted version of Ramayana were written by different authors in last 800 years but people still believe in Ram's teaching. Lie does not have legs so can't stand firm with test of time. So these misrepresentations of Ramayana will also be rejected by people.
The problem is with all other serials and TV programs is that they are projecting that by being characterless is the only way of being liberated be it a man or a woman. Drinking is a must for being successful and respected by others. Being characterless is another criterion for being an respected person. This kind of thinking is going to destroy Indian society. We need to stop it.

Income tax data released
Today central government release taxation data of central
government of India. I am capturing some interesting part of it. I am
interested in current years data:
Year - 2015-16
Corporate Tax: 454419 crore
Personal Income Tax: 286801 crore
Other Direct taxes: 1075 crore
Direct Tax collection: 742295 crore
Indirect Tax collection: 711885 crore
Total Tax collection: 1454180 crore
GDP - 13567192 crore
Population of India: 125 crore
Average per person income per year: 1,08,537 rupee
Individual income tax assesses: 4.86 crore
The interesting
part is that out of Total tax collection of 14,54,180 crore only 2,86,801 crore
comes as personal income tax which is 19.72 % of total tax collected. Number of
individual tax payers is 4.86 crore which is 3.88% of total population. If I
assume that every earning individual have 3 dependents then 15.55% of families
are paying personal income tax.
If we assume that
only 25% of our population is earning then average income per earning person
is 4,34,148 (per family of 4 person). As per current income
tax slab tax on income of 5 lakhs is 25,000. The average tax per income tax
payer is 59,012 rupee which looks reasonable.
7,11,885 crore
rupee is coming as indirect taxes which is being paid by every individuals
irrespective of their financial status. Excise duty on medicines is paid by
every patient be him rich or poor. It is 48.95% of total tax collection. If
19.72% of tax is paid by 15.55% of families as income tax then it is not
surprising.

Dance Bars
Yesterday Supreme Court of India pulled up Maharastra government
for not granting licence to dance bars. Court said that it is better to dance
in a dance bar than beg on street. I don't agree to this comment. The girls who
are dancing in dance bars are not even paid minimum wages by the bar and are
dependent on the tips offered by drunkards in the bar. They have to dance
obscenely to please these drunkards to get tips from them. It is even worse
than begging. It is not a dance show where people buy a ticket and dancers are
paid from the ticket amount.
Many young girls
are kidnapped and trafficked to Mumbai for dancing in dance bars in Mumbai.
There is big mafia of crimes which runs in these dance bars. Government is doing
right things by not allowing dance bars in Mumbai.

Top rated comment on news item:
What a Suprme Court : and what a stupid decision or verdict - Court says, better dance to the tunes of drunkards and lose ur self-respect. Now all beggar women can join together to form dance bar and that too, near and around schools, colleges and educational institutions. A court or verdict which will spoil the moral fabric of the country needs to be removed or nullified.

Attempt to regulate private school fee
Now
a days Delhi government is trying to regulate fee hike by private schools.
Government says that these private schools are making huge profits and
regulating school fee will reduce burden of parents.
This
move has a downside also. Schools are prevented from charging high fee but are
not prevented from making huge profits. The schools will not sacrifice their
profit because of cap on school fee but will reduce facilities to students. The
quality of infrastructure and quality of teachers will suffer because these
schools will cut on expenditure salary of teachers. Good teachers will move to
some other states where schools are offering good salary or join some coaching
center which don't come under fee regulation. School education will suffer and
profit of schools will still not come down. It will be a loss for parents
because now they need to send their children to coaching classes also because
schools are not having good teachers.
So
what is the solution? Should government not do anything and let schools loot the
parents of students?
The
solution is not to kill free market economy. Market knows the best if school A
is charging 3000 rupee per month and school B is charging 5000 rupee per month
and school B is having all seats occupied and school A is having 10% seat
vacant then there is some reason for it. Market knows the best about the
services being offered to them. We can't say that school B is looting the
parents and school A is not. On the contrary it looks like school A is looting
the parents and that is why 10% of the seats are lying vacant.
The
government needs to build good schools and provide good education there. This
will create competition in the market and people will start leaving overpriced
schools and these schools will start spending in providing good services and
reducing the fee.
Price
control hinders new inventions. No schools will roll out new technology in
their schools if they can't fund their expenditure by raising the fee. The government
has failed miserably in managing government schools and wants to kill
competition in private schools. Government is still leaving these private
schools with same management which it accuses of corruption and profiting. Why doesn’t
government take over these schools and run them better than current management?
Government doesn’t have that capability people know that. Government should
concentrate on providing good education services to people by hiring more
teachers for schools rather than wasting money in putting CCTV in every classroom.
Once there are sufficient number of schools are there and quality of education
is good there, private schools will be forced to provide better education to
student at lower fee otherwise they will be shutdown.
I
see fee regulation of private schools to be a negative development.
Right of equality
I did not think I will need to write on this topic because I was
taught in my 6th class about right of equality in my school and assumed that
everyone else will also have been taught that. But today while discussing with
some of my colleagues I discovered that they are not aware of this law.
The question is
like this does owner of a shop have right to deny sale of the product to any
person whom he don't want to sell product because it is a private shop and not
government one. The answer which was given to me was that since it is a private
shop owner has right to choose his customer and can deny services to anyone
whom they don't like and no law exists against that.
I would like to
say that a law exist against that and that too is fundamental right in
constitution any shops, public restaurants, hotels and places of public
entertainment is bound by this law not to discriminate between people. Any
private business is bound by this law and not allowed to discriminate. A
similar law exists in USA also and I saw board displayed in stores that a
certain section of law prohibits the store from discriminating between
customers. This is such a basic law that it is taught in 6th class to students,
I am amazed to see graduates who are not aware of this law and consider
themselves to be knowing laws very well.
15. Prohibition of discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth.-
(1) The State shall not discriminate against any citizen on grounds only of religion, race, caste, sex, place of birth or any of them.
(2) No citizen shall, on grounds only of religion, race, caste, sex, place of birth or any of them, be subject to any disability, liability, restriction or condition with regard to-
(a) access to shops, public restaurants, hotels and places of public entertainment; or
(b) the use of wells, tanks, bathing ghats, roads and places of public resort maintained wholly or partly out of State funds or dedicated to the use of the general public.
(3) Nothing in this article shall prevent the State from making any special provision for women and children.
_10[(4) Nothing in this article or in clause (2) of article 29 shall prevent the State from making any special provision for the advancement of any socially and educationally backward classes of citizens or for the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes.]

Akshay Kumar's donation of 90 Lakhs for drought relief
Film
actor Akshay Kumar has announced donation of 90 Lakh rupee for drought relief
in Maharastra. Many people have suddenly started posting on facebook against so
called tax evasion by Akshay Kumar. What have happened recently? Is Akshay
Kumar been named in some panama leeks? I don't remember any official or
unofficial report coming out recently which have exposed Akshay Kumar. So why
suddenly Akshay Kumar has become a villain? What have he done recently to
attract such comments.
Only
thing I see have hurt people is his donation of 90 Lakh rupee for drought
relief. This act have hurt lakhs of people who think that they are highest
income tax payers despite being in lowest 5% of the income group and are
biggest philanthropist because they gave 10 rupee to a beggar some 10 years
back and no one can beat their record. These people label people donating money
to temples as selfish because these people are buying mercy for their sins from
god. It looks like saints are found only drinking in a bar with their friends;
any person who give money to a needy person is corrupt and want to buy
forgiveness for his sins. Now by giving 90 Lakh rupee for drought relief in
Maharastra Akshay Kumar have proved that he is a corrupt person. If he is not
corrupt then why he is not enjoying his money in bars with his friends just
like honest actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Amir Khan and Shahrukh Khan?
No
one can be more philanthropic than a person who had given 10 rupee to a beggar
some 10 years back. If someone tries to prove him wrong, then that person will
attract that kind of hate which Akshay Kumar is facing. If Akshay Kumar is such
a big tax evader then why did I not hear about that before? No new information
from income tax department has come out recently.

Decreasing population of Hindu's and threat of Mugalistan
According to news report at the following link :
population of
Hindus is declining at a very alarming rate. This is a very dangerous situation
Hindus are facing. If we are unable to maintain our population then we will not
be able to protect our assets. It happened in Kashmir where Hindus were in
minority where numbers are concerned but very well placed as far as property
was concerned. They were thrown out of Kashmir my Muslim majority and now
living in shelter houses in Jammu. This is going to happen in every piece of land
where Hindus are going to become a minority. There is already a plan out to
create a nation called Mugalistan which will comprise of Jammu & Kashmir,
Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Bangal. This Mugalistan
will not be bound by constitution written by B.R. Ambedkar where minority will
have special privileges but they will write their own constitution and Hindus
will not have any rights there.
Why am I
concerned?
I am concerned
because my house falls in this proposed area of Mugalistan. My only security
against this Mugalistan is that Hindus are in majority in this geographical
area. But now that is being shattered because population of Hindus is
decreasing. Now threat of Mugalistan looks very real.
Is converting
to Islam a solution?
Some people say
that they will convert to Islam and enjoy their property in Mugalistan like
Hindus of Pakistan, who converted to Islam, are enjoying. It is not true
because I heard a story of a Punjabi Brahmin family who was left in Pakistan
and converted to Islam for their protection. One of my colleagues told me that
when they were young one person came to their house in Delhi and told him that
he is Muhamad Yasin and he want to meet his father. When his father came
Muhamad Yasin told his father that he is son of his grandfather's brother and
he came to India to disburse remains of his father in Ganga. When Muhamad
Yasin's father was dying he told to his son that his actual name is Ram Prasad
Sharma and he had to convert to Islam to protect his family and he could not
live like a Hindu but want to die as a Hindu. He requested his son not to bury
his dead body but to burn it and disburse his remains in Ganga in India. He
also told his son that after converting to Islam his life was not peaceful as expected;
more than half of his property was taken as donation while converting to Islam.
He was forced to give good amount of money to Masjid on every Muslim festival.
He was left with only 20% of his original wealth.
This is what happens
after someone converts to Islam. It is all about land and money and not about
religion. Muslims are not interested in converting Hindus to Islam but to
capture their money and land. Initially they lure Hindus with promise of a
luxurious life after converting to Islam but once you are trapped they will
extort last penny out of you.
Who is
responsible for decreasing population of Hindus?
Only Hindus who
are not ready to shoulder responsibility of raising two children are
responsible for decrease of Hindu population. People say, “what is point in
having more children whom you can't feed”. It matters how much money do you
give to your children than how may children you have. I would like to say that
Kashmiri Hindus had every wealth and lacked only in number and now living life
of penury. Converting to Islam is not a solution as describe earlier. I see
lots of Hindus who are having only one child and don't want to have second
child because they think that they can give to society better than another
children. Of course they are talking about money. I don't like talking about it
but today I want to ask these people how much money they are contributing to
society. I am, after shouldering responsibility of raising 2 children, paying
all taxes honestly is contributing 40,000 rupee per year to uplift life of poor
people for last 8 years. How much these progressive people who don't believe in
just producing children are contributing? Of course they have more resources
left with them because they have fewer children.
People say that I
make a lot of money. I can't discuss my salary in public because it is
confidential and I don't make as much money as people think. I want to say that
people who are driving more expensive cars than mine, spending more money on
luxurious dining and travel and not having responsibility of 2 children are not
able to contribute as much as I am able to do.
What is the
solution?
The solution to
this problem is that Hindu men should stand up and take responsibility of
raising two children. It is not that Hindu women are not ready to bear second
child but Hindu men are to ready to raise second child. Hindu men are being too
selfish and a too selfish society can survive. Well to do people should
contribute for welfare of poor Hindus so that they don't fall to allurements of
Muslims. This way we can save ourselves from suffering in Mugalistan.

IIT fee hiked to 2 lakhs per year
Today
HRD minister Smriti Irani took two decisions
1. Making education in IITs
free for SC/ST and physically challenged
2. Increasing fee for IITs
from 90 thousands to 2 Lakhs
Regarding
first decision I would like to say that it is investment on uplifting the poor
and if 2000 SC/ST students are studying in IITs then it will cost 2000x2 Lakhs
= 40 crore per year. If only 50% of this goes to deserving candidates then also
I will say that it is right investment. With kind of budget we are having for
union of India it is a very small amount. With this investment we are not
lowering standard of education like in case of reservation. We are uplifting
standard of education by investing some money. Giving grant to students of most
premier institutions of our country will take our country forward.

Income tax and budget of 2016
Yesterday Union Budget of India 2016 was produced in parliament. People are discussing impact of the budget. I thought that I should also discuss impact of budget on people of India.
In this budget finance minister has not increased tax slabs, not reduced income tax rates but increased service tax from 14% to 15%. The finance minister has increased allocation for farmers, healthcare and education.
People care complaining that why our tax money is being spent on farmers instead of being spent on us. They are making excuse that the money spent on farmers and healthcare actually land up in being wasted in corruption therefore government should not spend money there. The problem of corruption is in every department. Should government stop building roads in cities also just because there will be corruption with funds being allocated for roads? The answer to this question is no because tax payer want roads in city for himself. But government should stop constructing roads in villages because it leads to corruption and easiest and proper solution to corruption stop spending money on villages. Government should save money by closing down schools and hospitals because these places are center of corruption according to educated tax payers of India. These tax payer want reduction in their taxes by forcing poor people out of schools and sick people out of Hospital. According to them corruption happens only when government tries to spend money on poor people. If government construct roads in city it is corruption free but if government construct roads in villages there is 99% corruption.
I feel that government's efforts are in right direction and government should focus on uplifting the poor farmers. Government should focus on removing corruption from social work done by government. India's current condition where 90% of wealth is held by 5% people is not good. We need better wealth distribution. Government is on right track. I wish them success in their work.

Fake eyewitness
Today one of my
colleagues forwarded me a news link which claims that Mahisasur (the daemon
king) is worshipped in South India. When I told him that, "I have been to
Mysore and lived in Bangalore for one year and never saw anyone worshiping
Mahisasur. I did not even hear that Mahisasur being worshiped anywhere at all.
I had many Dravidian friends and no one told me that they have any respect for
Mahisasur." he told me that he had been to Chennai and he saw people
worshiping Mahisasur. When I asked him to give details of location in Chennai
where he saw people worshiping Mahisasur he was not able to give it. He later
told me that he saw it in Begampet, which he later retracted and said that
Begampet is in Hydrabad and not in Chennai.
The interesting
question is that did he saw someone worshiping Mahisasur in Chennai or he is
making false stories based on the news article? Anyone who has not been to
south India can believe in this story if someone says that he had been to south
India and himself saw Mahisasur being worshiped there by his own eyes. But this
might very well be a work of fiction based on a news article to impress his
friends about his knowledge (false knowledge). Today I came to know that you
should not trust so called eyewitness because their version can be based on a
false news item rather than being based on their own personal experience.
Following is
part of news item first published in Telegraph and later published by
abplive.com . This news article is based on Smriti Irani (Human Resources
Development Minister, Government of India)'s speech in parliament.
MAHISHASUR
Irani
referred to celebrations of Mahishasur — the demon slayed by Goddess Durga — in
JNU, and wondered whether that would be tolerated in Calcutta.
Fact
check: The
“demon” is celebrated in many parts of southern India, and some scholars have
suggested his popular, dark-skinned depiction in contrast to the fair-skinned
Durga is a pointer to an Aryan-Dravidian divide. Mysore, Karnataka’s
second-largest city, is an anglicised version of Mahishuru — which means the
“abode of Mahishasura” in Kannada.
Based
on this news item my colleague constructed story of him seeing worship of
Mahisasur by his own eyes. These kinds of eyewitness are real culprit of
dividing the nation. These people spread rumors which divide the country. We
need to be careful of these kinds of people.
I
again confirmed with one of my south Indian friend if Mahisasur is worshiped in
south India. He told me that south India is big area and he can't deny if in
some remote area a few people worship Mahisasur but as far as his knowledge
about south India the answer is No, south Indian people don't worship Mahisasur
or Ravana.

Haryana burning in fire of reservation
Past few days Haryana is seeing violent protest by Jat community demanding reservation in government educational institutions and government jobs. These kinds of reservations are against right of equal opportunities granted by constitution. Some people are showing their power to blackmail the government and killing meritocracy.
I accept all this arguments but want to remind you about management quotas in private educational institutions. Private educational institutions produce 75% of total doctors produced in India. 50% of these seats are reserved for relatives of management committee. This reservation for rich people is approved by government and judiciary. This reservation is hitting meritocracy harder than cast based reservation in government collages and jobs. Why government and judiciary fail to take any action when rich people show their power and demand 50% reservation for their children in schools and colleges? Why no one express unhappiness on this sorry state of affairs? Why this reservation for rich people allowed in name of freedom to run private business?
No private business must be allowed to discriminate between customers. If someone opens an insurance company or a bank, can we allow him/her to charge different premium or interest rates based on cast of the customer? The answer is no because right to run private business don't allow anyone to discriminate between people. Similarly private educational institutions must be prevented from discriminating students based on management seats and public seats. When general seat students fail to get admission at 95% marks, management seat student get admission at 55% marks. These management seat students produce incompetent doctors and engineers and we have to bear with these incompetent people. Government and Judiciary need to rise up to task to restoring true meritocracy in India where no seats are reserved to rich people and education is provided to every talented and hardworking person of India irrespective of financial condition of his/her parents.
I earlier also wrote my opinion in matter earlier also at following link:

Anti India protest in JNU
Few
days back there was a protest in support of terrorist Afzal Guru who was hanged
in case of attack on Indian parliament. In this protest anti India slogans were
raised. Next day ABVP protested against anti-national elements. The teachers of
JNU did not support protest against anti-national elements because they did not
want to get involved in politics.
Now
Delhi police have acted against these anti national elements and booked JNUSU
president Kanehya in case of sedition. The same professors who did not want to
get into student politics are now protesting in support of anti-national
people. Students who are protesting in support of anti-national people are not
doing it because they want to do it but because they want to get good grades in
their exam and they have to support their professors for that. The problem is
not with students but with teachers of JNU. Teachers of JNU are anti-national
and getting involved in anti-national activities is a mandatory criterion for
scoring good marks.

History of Valentine day
Today
I am going to write history of Valentine day. The history of Valentine day is
changing very fast. I will document how it has changed over time.
First
time I heard about Valentine Day was in 1995. It was time when Valentine day
was promoted on large scale in India. TV shows and newspapers were promoting
Valentine Day. Times of India published a special supplement of 50 pages to
print message of lovers free of cost. That time TV shows and newspaper were
saying that history behind valentine day is that once upon a time there was a
princess who loved a prince and she was not able to tell him. She told it to
her servant Valentine and he suggested her to make a nice card for the prince
and write her message in that card. The princess made a card for prince and
gave it to him on 14th February. From that date culture of Valentine day
started and this day was named after the servant who gave brilliant idea of
card.
In
2005 the idea of Saint Valentine was born. The new story says that there was a Christian
saint called Valentine and he invented marriage of a man and woman and this day
is named after that great saint. Till 2010 wikipedia was saying that there was
no historical person called saint Valentine but now in 2016 wikipedia also says
that there was saint Valentine and he invented marriage of man and women and
this concept was later on adopted by all other civilizations. It looks like
that man didn't used to get married to woman. Looks improbable to me because as
per my knowledge, in India man used to get married to a women from time
immemorial.
Now
a day (in 2016) Valentine Day is a big celebration. Boys and girls give card to
each other on 14th February. They go out to restaurants and pubs after that
drink and dine and do all sorts of immoral things on this day. This love
last till breakup day celebrated on 21st February. On 21st February these new
love birds tell each other that it is not working out and start searching for
another person. Why this celebration for a love which last only for 7 days?
In
India we believe in life long relationship. Not only life long, but a seven
life relationship. Love is a commitment for a life time which needs to be
honored for whole life. It should not be like you fall in love for most
beautiful boy or girl and whenever you see a more beautiful girl or boy you
ditch your previous lover and fall in love with a new person. This
materialistic attitude can't build a happy society. There are many ups and
downs in life of a person. Health, beauty and wealth of a person do not remain
constant for whole life. In India if a person loses his health or wealth than
his/her partner supports him and not ditch him and find another partner to
satisfy their physical need. This kind of culture has led to many suicides and
people getting in depression in western countries. Once a person loses his job
he loses his wife also. He is left alone without money and family and in this
situation many persons commit suicide.
We
are emulating west without realizing what we are losing. We don't see the
problem west is facing. In west people are talking about loss of family values,
every second person is divorced there. If a person fall sick then nobody takes
care of him. In India we take care of our parents, husband, wife and children.
We need to make sacrifice of our pleasure for that but in return we get an
insurance that my family will take care of me if I lose my health and wealth. I
don't want materialistic culture of west destroying social values of Indian
culture. It takes thousands of years to build a culture of helping each other.
It can get destroyed in 10 years or so but can't be restored back in 10 years.
It will take thousands of years. It is better to be safe than sorry.
